Active Games

  1. All active games are listed within the active games page with an indicator of how many seats are currently available with a link to the Startplaying.games site where you as a player can sign up.
  2. Games can only be signed up via Startplaying.games this is due to their terms of service and handling of any financial conflicts which may come up. No exceptions will be made.
  3. If by the time the game is due to start there are not enough seats taken, the game will not go ahead and the start date will be updated to reflect the next session in the published schedule.
  4. Once all seats at an active game are taken, no extra seats will be made available.
  5. 1801Adventures reserves the right to remove any player who is in breach of the player code of conduct which by signing up to an active game via Startplaying.games you agree to abide by – a copy of the player code of conduct can be downloaded from the button above and will be discussed with you before you participate in your first game with 1801Adventures.
  6. Whilst every effort is made to ensure that games go ahead as planned, any cancellations will be communicated at the earliest possibility. In the case of short notice cancellation 1801Adventures may offer discretionary discounts for the following session. These discounts do not carry and if you miss the subsequent discounted session, the game you return to is charged at the full agreed price.
  7. Issues with any players, game master, technology or play systems will be communicated directly with the game master in order to be resolved by the next played session.
  8. Any personal data (Name, email address, etc) will be handled inline with the 1801Adventures GDPR Data Handling Policy which can be downloaded from the button at the top of the page.

Games Master Workshops

  1. Games Master Workshops will be delivered on a monthly basis at the discretion of the Games Master leading it.
  2. If the required number of seats are not filled, that months Workshop will not go ahead.
  3. The topic which is discussed at the workshop will be clearly displayed and whilst discussion is welcomed, the Games Master leading the workshop will pull the conversation back to the topic at hand if they feel that the discussion has gone off on an unrelated tangent.
  4. All Games Master Workshops will be signed up via startplaying.games this is due to their terms of service and handling of any financial conflicts which may come up. No exceptions will be made.
  5. Game Master Workshops will be open to all levels of experience from those who are experienced Games Masters through to those who are just starting to get involved with tabletop role playing games – if the topics discussed are targeted towards advanced game masters this will be posted within the workshop description.
  6. Refunds will not be offered if you sign up to a Games Master Workshop and decide once the workshop has started that you do not want to participate.
  7. Any presentations created by 1801Adventures and used within the Games Master Workshops will not be provided as separate files these are to be retained by 1801Adventures as their intellectual property, however, if agreed by the cohort participating within the Games Master Workshop a recording will be taken which can be distributed if requested.
  8. Any personal data (Name, email address, etc) will be handled inline with the 1801Adventures GDPR Data Handling Policy which can be downloaded from the button at the top of the page.
  9. 1801Adventures reserves the right to remove any participant within a Games Master Workshop who they deem to be disruptive, discriminatory or offensive to the Game Master leading the workshop or other participants in attendance.
  10. 1801Adventures endeavours to be inclusive and Games Master Workshops are open to all regardless of background, age, sexuality etc.

Tips and Tricks

  1. The tips and tricks blog page is open source content, no permission is required to use the content which is posted to “Tips and Tricks” as it is designed to promote creative thinking.
  2. If you do use any content from the “Tips and Tricks” it would be appreciated that 1801Adventures is shared with credit to the post.
  3. If you disagree with content which is posted to the “Tips and Tricks” feed, or find that the information posted to “Tips and Tricks” is factually incorrect, please contact 1801Adventures via the contact form so the inaccuracy or complaint can be reviewed and corrected.

1801Adventures Content Subscription

  1. Subscription Charge
    The Content Subscription is charged monthly at a price of £7.50 (GBP) per month, 1801Adventures reserves the right to adjust the subscription fee at their discretion. Any changes to the fee will be communicated to all subscribers at least 1 calendar month in advance of the change coming into affect.
  2. Subscription Content
    The 1801Adventures Content Subscription will provide access to the following:

    – A discount code for 15% off 1 Active Game OR 1 Games Master Workshop off the listed priced – This updates monthly on payment of the subscription.

    – Long form content which includes but not limited to:
    – Creature/Encounter Stat Blocks
    – Maps and Settings
    – One Shot Game Plans
    – Table Management Frameworks

    – A preview to any future media 1 week prior to it being released to the public domain including:
    – Short form video
    – Podcasts/Group discussion
    – Long form video

    – A monthly newsletter outlining what is coming up for that month and the intended dates of release.
  3. Intellectual Property
    All content published by 1801Adventures, except content posted to “Tips and Tricks” is held under the 1801Adventures copyright, the copyright policy can be downloaded from the button above, any commercial use of 1801Adventures material will be challenged and may lead to legal repercussions if deemed severe.
    – No published/downloaded content should be copied and freely distributed by 3rd party distributors.
    – No logos/copyrighted imagery shall be removed from downloaded content provided as part of the subscription.
  4. Commercial Use
    – If content published by 1801Adventures is wanted for commercial use, this needs to be discussed with 1801Adventures via the contact form on the 1801Adventures Website or emailing 1801adventures@gmail.com for license to be granted
  5. Target Audience
    The 1801Adventures Subscription is designed for Games Masters and those who are interested in TTRPG content, there is no limitation to who can subscribe.
  6. Payment and Billing Policy
    – Payment will be facilitated via memberful which can be accessed via the subscription page within the 1801Adventures website. This payment will be charged on the 1st of each calendar month.
    – Failed payments will be retried the following day for a maximum of 3 attempts, after the 3rd failed attempt your subscription will be cancelled.
  7. Auto-Renewal Policy
    Your subscription renews automatically each month at the same price unless you cancel. We’ll email you at least 14 days before any renewal that changes price or key terms, and one month before any price rise. Cancel anytime via Memberful or email; we’ll confirm within 48 hours. If you were charged and then cancel, refunds follow our Refund Policy and UK consumer law.
  8. Cancellation Policy
    – You are free to cancel your subscription at any time.
    – you may request a refund of that months subscription fee within 3 days of the payment completing for a full refund, after this 3 day grace period the fee will not be refunded.
    – If refunded within the 3 day grace period you will not have access to any published content for that month.
    – If you have paid for the months content, the content will be available to you until the end of the billing cycle for that month, the following month the content will no longer be available to you.
  9. User Responsibility
    – It is the responsibility of the user to ensure that the content which is received is used in a respectful manner
    – It is prohibited from claiming content received via the 1801Adventures subscription as the user’s own creation.
    – It is the responsibility of the user to ensure that the billing information which is provided is up to date to avoid any billing conflicts or issues.
    – It is the users responsibility to share the source of the content which is used with other users or players who may enjoy the content provided by 1801Adventures.
    – It is the users responsibility to communicate with 1801Adventures to find a time and date for the monthly 1:2:1 call with the 1801Adventures Games Master.
  10. Service Availability and Changes
    – Whilst all measures are taken to adhere to the publishing schedule, 1801Adventures reserves the right to change the upload dates and will communicate such via the newsletter
    – 1801Adventures reserves the right to discontinue, remove, modify or update any content held as intellectual property of 1801Adventures or founder.
    – Any and all changes will be communicated via the email provided with the subscription which is used for the monthly news letter.
    – Whilst all measures are taken to ensure that the 1801Adventures services stay live in the event of downtime, these issues will be reviewed with the aim of service being restored within a reasonable timeframe.
    – Refunds will only be provided for the month which downtime occurs if access to the subscribed services last longer than 15 days. This excludes the monthly 1:2:1 calls, if calls are not scheduled within the calendar month that the subscription fee is paid, this service is not available to be carried over to the subsequent calendar month (i.e multiple 1:2:1 calls) and cannot be used for grounds for a refund.
  11. Liability Limitations
    1801Adventures accepts no liability regarding indirect damages caused by use of the published content. The content provided as part of this subscription is provided “as is” with the intention of providing information and advice relating to key areas when running TTRPGs, any materials used, are used at the users risk and by using the material provided the user accepts the risks associated with digital services and content provided.
  12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
    These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Subject to the paragraph below, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute, claim or legal proceeding arising out of or in connection with these Terms.

    Consumer rights and alternative venues
    If you are contracting as a consumer (that is, not for business purposes), nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under applicable consumer protection laws. In particular, you may bring proceedings in the courts of the country in which you are habitually resident in addition to, or instead of, the courts of England and Wales where permitted by law. Before commencing formal legal proceedings we ask that you contact us so we can try to resolve the matter: 1801adventures@gmail.com.

    Alternative Dispute Resolution
    Where appropriate and available, the parties may agree to use an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) procedure (for example mediation) to resolve disputes without court proceedings. If you are a consumer and wish to use ADR, please contact us for details of any ADR bodies we may use.

    Severability and non‑excludable liabilities
    If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, that provision shall be severed and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

    Contract language
    These Terms are drafted and concluded in English. If we provide a translation, the English text will prevail in the event of any conflict.

1801Adventures reserves the right to update these terms and conditions as they see fit or in accordance with any updates within UK Law which may affect the terms laid out as part of this document/page.
